Commemoration bench repair service in York

This was a first for Antique Restoration by Steven Charles Popple & Co. We were asked by a close friend to make a commemoration bench for their son, who had recently passed away. His Scouting name was Baloo, hence the carving in the back. The stipulation that it needed to be hewn from a huge log came after we had agreed to make the piece so we dug deep and got on with it. We estimate that it weighed one and a half tons when it was completed.
