Antique Restoration by Steven Charles Popple & Co is based just outside the York outer ring road, just off the A64 near the village of Huntington. Situated in a purpose built and centrally heated workshop, Steve has been restoring furniture for over 30 years so you can be assured of high quality craftsmanship.

Equipped to work on all kinds of furniture projects - from minor damage to intricate restorations - we have previously been commissioned to work on secret doors, staircases, side tables, wardrobes, dining tables, bookcases and dressers to name but a few. Our experienced professionals use state-of-the-art tools to restore your furniture to their former glory. Whether your chair has a loose leg that needs to be fixed, or you need treasured furniture restored, you can rely on us.
We have been restoring furniture since 1987, here are a few photographs of some of the transformations that we have made.

Water damaged mouse thompson table
This desk had suffered a lot of damage over the years, some of the veneer was missing, some mouldings, plinths, knobs were missing, the skivers were ruined, and the polish that was still remaining was too far gone to be redeemable.
